  1. ESC.HLP is a Windows Help file containing a sampling of interesting     
  2. articles from the ESC newsletter, as well as information about the
  3. activities of the ESC (Educational Software Cooperative).

  5. Windows Help files are run using the Microsoft Windows Help Engine 
  6. (WINHELP.EXE), which is included with Windows. You can start the ESC.HLP 
  7. file in one of these ways:

  9. 1. Normally, the Windows File Manager automatically runs WINHELP.EXE whenever 
  10. you double-click on a file with the extension HLP. (If this does not work, you 
  11. need to "associate" HLP files with the program WINHELP.EXE. This is easy to 
  12. do. Please consult your manual or online help for instructions.)

  14. 2. You can use the File - Open command from the menu bar when any Help file is 
  15. active and then select the ESC.HLP file. (You can quickly bring up a Help 
  16. file by pressing F1 while Program Manager -- your main Windows screen -- is 
  17. active.)
